I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Snuffle Mat

I wish I had known about these snuffling mats when we first brought Karma home. As a rescue dog she devoured every bit of food we gave her as fast as she could.

This mat makes her work for her kibble, having to sniff out the pieces and slowing her down considerably.

She loves her snuffle mat.

The one's I've seen on the internet use an outdoor rubber mat with holes. But I had a piece of needlework canvas that did the trick.

I cut strips of fleece and felt and stitched them to the canvas.

When it was filled I just stitched a piece of material on the back and it was ready.

Just put some kibble on top and let your pooch enjoy!
It's a great enrichment tool!

Here's the action shot !

  1. Wow, That's so easy. I was struggling to make a Snuffle Mats by myself and here I found your blog. Thank you so much for sharing this nice article.
