I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Hip to be Square Chocolate Chip Cookies

No time? No problem!
In a half hour you can have fresh baked cookies.

Ingredients:

1 golden cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)
5 tbsps melted butter
2 eggs, beaten
1  1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/4 cup slivered almonds
M and M's

Mix all the ingredients together.  I saved the M and M's to place on top, but you could also mix them in.

Grease a 9 X 13 baking pan and spoon the cookie dough in, then smoosh (yes...that's a word!) it around using the back of a spoon.
Strategically place your M and M's now if that's how you're doing it.
Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes (for doughy) to 25 minutes (for cookie-y)
It's just lightly browned.
Cool and cut into squares.
So start to finish it really only took 30 - 40 minuites. Bam!
