I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Shorten Shoelaces Without Cutting Them

Does your favourite pair of shoes have laces that are way too long like this top one?
You could just go out and buy a new shorter pair of laces, but first why not try this.

Unlace to the bottom and pull out a loop of about 3 inches.
Make a knot.
Take right lace over the loop piece and into left eyelet.
Same with the left - take left lace over the loop piece and into right eyelet.

Now right lace into left, left lace into right.

Take right lace through the middle of the loop and into left eyelet.
And left lace through the middle of the loop and into right eyelet.
Hopefully this makes sense.  Now you can just go out running for the fun of it and not to the store to buy new laces.
